This A-frame cabin is the perfect winter retreat

Snow has already started to fall in some parts of Canada, which means it’s time we started thinking about how we’re going to spend our holidays. Unsurprisingly, we’re partial to cozying up in a rustic cabin off the beaten path and close to the mountains. This A-frame cabin, in Skykomish, Wash., looks like it would be the perfect spot for such a retreat.

Located a stone’s throw from Stevens Pass Ski Resort, the homeowners can spend their days on the slopes and then enjoy apres-ski cocktails at the 580-square-foot cabin. The space itself is fully self-sufficient, and features a sitting area with a propane fireplace, a spacious TV room, a fully-equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms, one of which is accessed via a pull-down ladder. The A-frame is perched atop a rocky slope, so the balcony off the main room has beautiful views of the property.
